On Monday, November 2, the President signed the budget bill that has a significant impact on how retirees will be able to claim Social Security.  Michael Kitces, Publisher of the Nerd’s Eye View, has written a very comprehensive blog post that breaks down the new rules.  In my opinion, this is the biggest change to retirement planning since the IRS issued Notice 2014-54 about a year ago.  I wrote about how that affects retirement plan savers here.
